The structure is the same as the previous ones: a meeting point and departure from San Martino del Carso, two short poetic interventions and the final part with the public invited to participate by physically coming into contact with the nature that surrounds the places chosen for the walk.
The subject of the last visit will be the route from San Martino del Carso to Monte Brestovec and its gunboat, a series of tunnels built by the Italian Army in 1917 designed to control a vast area of the Karst by placing artillery pieces hidden from the view of the Austrians.
The “sensory” moments will be guided by an actor who will invite the spectators to put themselves in a condition of personal safety and to close their eyes, expanding their sensory skills to listen to the sounds of the environment, voice, music, effects and silences.
Visitors will be invited to touch with their hands the physical presence of structures or natural elements that are linked to specific moments of narration or poetry, and to sensations that come from the natural environment.
The man-nature theme is extremely important in opposition to the man-machine theme that the Great War expressed.
Closing the eyes is also essential to escape from a current visual landscape dimension that does not correspond to historical reality as Ungaretti testifies when he returns to the 60s; The actor’s words will be the guide for each listener to evoke a different reality in their mind.
The music and effects are original electronic compositions, performed live via computer: their purpose is to create atmospheres and moods that connect, underline, reinforce and support the dramaturgy and sensory moments in the central position only.
